STP Complete fuel system

STP’s tonic to older cars
Fuel additives are key to looking after your engine

With the economy tightening, and new car registrations in the doldrums, many motorists are intending to keep their cars for longer, which according to engine additive specialist, STP, puts a greater onus on engine care.

“Older cars can be a very cost-efficient means of transport,” says a spokesperson for STP, “but, inevitably, they need looking after, especially as they are seldom protected by a warranty.”

STP explains that normal engine combustion will create contaminants, which can build up and cause power loss, poor running and increased fuel consumption, and points to the regular use of its well-established Fuel Injector Cleaner, and Diesel Injector Cleaner, as quick, convenient and low-cost DIY methods of improving engine efficiency.

High-strength, super-concentrated cleaners specially formulated to remove deposits from all fuel injection systems; these fuel additives clear clogged injectors in just one tankful, quickly dissolving deposits to improve performance. Safe for catalytic converters, STP recommends usage every 3,000 miles for best results.

STP Fuel Injector Cleaner and Diesel Injector Cleaner are widely available nationwide from forecourts, major stores and accessory shops, priced at £5.49 RRP.
