STP Photography Winner Announced!
43-year old self-employed painter and decorator, Michael Foster from Whittlesey, near Peterborough has shown he’s not just handy with the paint brush, as he’s claimed top spot in an STP motorsport photo competition, winning an STP AF Corse Ferrari racing team shirt and goodies for his efforts.
The task was simply to look out for the STP AF Corse Ferrari F458 at the round of the prestigious FIA GT3 Championship, get behind the lens and send in the results….Not as simple as it seems bearing in mind the race car is capable of over 190mph.
Michael, who drives a Honda Civic 1.8 but lusts after a Ferrari 599 (could be a problem with the decorators ladder, Michael) is an ardent motorsport follower from his days in short trousers but has really got into it – everything from 2CV racing to F1 and Le Mans - in the last ten years.
His action shot drew praise from professional motorsport photographer, Jakob Ebrey, who helped judge the entries and had no hesitation is recommending Michael as the winner…”This shot shows great composition, and the use of slow shutter speed of a 100th of a second really adds to the drama.”
